Additionally, the Philippines is a melting pot of cultures and traditions being that we were conquered by so many different countries.

Although I LOVE Filipino food and will never tire of it, it is not everyone’s cup of tea and getting a decent local meal for travelers can be difficult.

While I think the Philippines is cheaper in terms of food and accommodations, I think you get more value for money in Thailand in terms of quality. The Philippines is a little bit more expensive than Thailand as if you want to travel around the country, you would need to fly around (remember, 7107 islands!)
