There is no shortage of hotels in Krabi, Thailand. Being the big tourist attraction that it is, there are multiple hotels left and right. Luckily, we had the chance to stay in a place which was right by Ao Nang Beach. The L Resort Krabi not only had the best location, but their newly renovated resort premises promises a relaxing stay while in Krabi.

Our Leisurely Stay at The L Resort
Upon entering, we were greeted by their manager Michel and the front desk staff. Being a seasoned traveler himself, over the many years, Michel and his team has evolved and grown, pin pointing exactly what guests need in order to have a pleasant stay in their resort. After receiving our welcome drinks, he proceeded to issue us an iPad which we could use during our stay. The iPad contained an L Resort App where we could request for various things and read up on Ao Nang. This was definitely a cool feature! After a couple of minutes of fiddling around, I found out that the app allowed you to order room service, a massage, or even a wake up call. We were very impressed by all of this and loved the integration of technology to help make our stay better.
✨The 1 Thing We Never Leave Home Without…✨
Coming from someone who has been traveling the world for the last 8 years AND has been in the hospital 2x, travel insurance is something everyone NEEDS to get. Get a quote below!
The Rooms at The L Resort
Our room was spacious, clean, and modern looking. The bed was highlighted with a strong accent color which made the whole place pop. What we loved the most were the attention to detail that the hotel gave when furnishing their rooms.
Our room was equipped with a universal charger, an iPod dock to play music, and the best part….an expresso machine! Can you imagine our delight when we saw this! It was actually pretty perfect because we needed to get some work done so the machine definitely came into use during our two days there. The bathroom was kept clean at all times and the hotel provided us with a nice set of toiletries to use during our stay.
As always, the highlight of our stay was the breakfast buffet that came with the room. Breakfast was served in the hotel’s restaurant, Wanna’s Place (we’ve heard fantastic things about their steak!). Although at first glance, the selection seemed small, you will soon discover that they have everything that you need. A selection of juices, cereal, bread, fruits, and cheese. Yes, you heard me, CHEESE! During our time their, they had a good selection of European cheese and smoked salmon which is actually very rare in hotels in Asia. This was a pleasant surprise for us! They also had an egg station and some Asian dishes as well. The breakfast definitely earned the L Resort more brownie points in our books!
The Facilities of The L Resort
While we were there, the weather was hit and miss. One minute it would be raining, and the next it would be sunny. To us, it didn’t really matter as the resort premises was enjoyable either way. They had two large pools with lots of nice chairs for lounging. Apart from this, the fact that the resort was right on the beach added to it’s overall appeal. As mentioned earlier, the hotel’s restaurant, Wanna’s Place is well known for their European dishes, local Thai cuisine, and their steaks cooked on a hot stone. Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to eat here, but we have read reviews of people raving about it.

Overall Experience
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the L Resort. The rooms were stylish, sleek, and very comfortable. We also have to mention that out of the many hotels that we have stayed in here in Thailand, the internet in The L Resort was fantastic! Perfect for people traveling for business or for digital nomads like us. We enjoyed the modern amenities like the iPod dock and the iPad and found them to be a nice touch to the usual hotel room amenities. Through the years, what started as a bamboo bungalow has now been renovated into an upper class resort with all the modern amenities which we thoroughly enjoyed.
