After spending a couple of days in Koh Lanta, we decided that we’re in love with it! Although we definitely feel that we didn’t spend enough time exploring the island, in our opinion, it only gives us more reason to go back for a visit.
Between its many uninhabited beaches, scenic motorbike rides, and friendly locals, Koh Lanta is definitely a place you should explore while you’re in Thailand. Since we loved the island so much, we’ve put together a list of the best places to stay in Koh Lanta for both hotels and hostels.

Best Budget Places to Stay in Koh Lanta
Hey Beach Hostel

This fun hostel is one of the best places to stay in Koh Lanta if you’re looking for something affordable which is still close to the beach. Their location is fantastic and the vibe in the hostel is very cool.
The rooms here are basic but clean and comfortable, and they also offer female-only dorms for female travelers. For added privacy and comfort, opt for their chalet which has one queen bed and one single, enough for three people to share.
If you want to meet people, Hey Beach Hostel is very social and perfect for those that are traveling by themselves. The common areas are also a nice place to hang out.

Diamond Sand Palace

But the highlight of this resort is the stunning pool which overlooks the ocean. You can easily spend the day lounging in the pool and sunbathing.
For those of you looking for a reasonably-priced place to stay, Coco Lanta is a good choice.
