Generally speaking, we try to keep it light when we travel. Anything that isn’t useful, or doesn’t serve at least two purposes, we ditch. Why so stingy? Well, when you live your life on the road, every inch of space counts. Recently, we got the chance to try out Standard Luggage’s passport holder/ travel wallet. Now before you say anything, I’m sure you’re thinking, a passport holder, surely you can fit that in somewhere. However, when I said we were tight on space….I meant it. I recently made the decision to also start traveling lighter, carrying only a check in bag. So yeah, back to the story. My job was to test run this passport holder to see if it would be in fact something that I would use and more importantly, something I would take with me on my travels. standard-luggage travel wallet

Passport Holder/ Travel Wallet: What Do I Need it For?

Back in the day, I would have said travel wallets and organizers were completely unnecessary and was only something my mum would use. Fast forward to today, because we travel so much, staying organized is something that makes our lives easier. Simple things like travel wallets, packing cubes, and electronic holders are super crucial and useful. So what exactly are the features that the Standard Luggage Passport Holder/Travel Wallet hold?

  • RFID blocking to keep your information secure
  • Dedicated passport pocket
  • Holds all major currency sizes
  • Four credit card slots, holds up to 8 cards
  • Boarding passes and customs forms without needing to fold
  • SIM card pocket
  • SD card pocket
  • Included: Travel size ballpoint pen
  • Included: Lifetime warranty and Satisfaction Guarantee

To be perfectly honest I didn’t really expect much of it but after trying it out, it surprisingly fit a lot of items from boarding passes, two passports, ID photo backups, cash, etc.  standard-luggage travel wallet

Standard Luggage Travel Wallet: Favorite Features

Overall, I think the wallet is great but I do love the fact that the entire thing in lined with RFID blocking to secure our credit cards. When moving to another country, we also usually get a local SIM card and each time we get a new one, we end up losing the other one so the SIM card pocket does come in handy. I travel with Standard Luggage’s Carry On Bag and love it so the quality is something I am completely happy about.

The Verdict: Do I Keep It?

Honestly speaking, yes I think I would. It’s small enough that I would hardly notice the additional weight but it also fits the right amount of things that I usually just keep in between my passport. I usually travel with a plastic envelope and keep all my important documents and while it’s still rather organized, it often gets full of random documents and travel tickets. I can definitely see myself using the travel wallet to hold immediate and important travel documents. What do you think? Do you use travel wallets/ organizers?
