After almost 3 years of non-stop travel, I would like to think that I have this traveling thing pat down. Yes there are times when I’m running late or I miss my flight where I feel like a total travel newbie, but for the most part, I have my sh*t together. Alas, before I brag about my expert traveling skills, I can’t take all the credit as a lot of my so-called skills has to do with the awesome travel accessories that I take with me. So without further ado, here’s a list of must-have travel accessories to help YOU, yeah you…travel like a boss.

Wall Charger

You get off your long flight or bus and realize that all or most of your electronics are low in battery. No problem as your grand plan is to get to your hostel/ hotel and just charge them all at once. Everything is looking good except you discover that there’s only 1 outlet in the entire room. This has happened to me waaay to many times which is why I always have a portable 4 port USB charger with me. In one go, I can charge my phone, camera, and ipad. It’s super useful and is something I wouldn’t leave home without.

HoodiePillow Memory Foam Travel Pillow

For long flights and bus rides…this awesome hoodie pillow is amazing. Going above and beyond the standard neck pillow this one has a built-in hoodie to give you a little shut eye privacy. Best part is the pillow part is made up of memory foam making it extra awesome and comfortable.

Wireless Bluetooth Headphones

Noise cancellation headphones…we all need them but often times, they are just too darn expensive. To help you out, I’ve scouted out the best ones under $100 and found this one (note prices do change every now and then). It’s not as bulky as most headphones and the sound quality is super good. Definitely worth getting if you’re big on your music.

Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle

Do the earth a favor and don’t be one of those travelers who have zero regard for waste? Instead of spending your money buying tons and tons of water bottles, carry your own and refill when you get to your hotel/ hostels. This BPA free collapsible bottle is perfect as it takes zero room and is super handy for when you’re touring the city or on a day hike.

Laser Lite Corded Earplugs

If you’re a light sleeper or if you ever plan to sleep in a dorm room, do yourself a favor and bring some earplugs. These corded ones are great as I often end up loosing my ear plugs in the middle of the night. I have personally experienced sharing a dorm room with a guy whose snores sounded like a grizzly bear/steam engine. I’m not even being funny.

GoToob Travel Bottles

Lotion, shampoo, moisturizer…literally any type of liquid or cream, and fit into these awesome BPA-free silicone-type bottles. TSA approved, you won’t have to fumble around and be forced to leave your precious stuff behind. The bottles are super easy to clean and come in handy when packing and repacking stuff.

Traveler T-Shirt

Admittedly, I personally don’t have this shirt but when I first say it, I definitely think it’s cool. Slightly dorky, yes, but who cares? Coming from someone who has had to charade her way into various situations, having this will save you the added headache. In places like China, often no one spoke English so you had to rely on a lot of pointing and acting out.

Ghostek Book Bag + Battery Power Bank

A backpack and power bank, rolled up into one? Sounds too good to be true? Well, this nifty little bag from Ghostek is all that and more. It can fit your standard sized computer and can charge your phone, tablet, or e-reader. Plus, it’s water-resistant. How’s that for a bag?

Flat Toiletry Kit

Tired of stuffing bulky toiletry kits in your bag? The Flat Toilery Kit is thin, portable, and super handy when it comes to storing your random bits and bobs. The material is very sturdy and can fit virtually ANYTHING. Really. I’ve crammed so much stuff in this bag and yet it remains (flat) and easy to pack.

Portable Roll-Up Travel Bag

While I’m more of a packing cube myself, I’ve wanted to give this Rolo a go. Basically, you fit your clothes (good for 4-5 days) in this nifty carrying case, roll it up, and voila! You’re packed. Some people have called it a game changer…so why not?

UE MINI BOOM Speakers

Travel speakers are a MUST. Perfect for picnics, beach days, or after parties, carrying a portable sound system can be pretty useful. My choice is the UE mini boom speaker which was named one of the best blue tooth speakers you can buy. Small, portable, and amazing sound quality!

Women’s Infinity Scarf with Zipper Pocket

I love scarves! They are light, versatile, and can make any dirty or smelly outfit look somewhat decent. However, what I love even more are scarves that are double-purpose like this one! It has zipper compartments where you can easily store your passport, credit card or cash. Cool right?

Numinous Packs Anti-Theft Travel Daypack, 25 Liter

I love keeping my belongings safe. So for me, this numinous backpack does the trick really well. It has a retractable cord which you can use to attach it to virtually anything plus built in lock combination systems so you don’t need to worry about external padlocks. Every time we go to the beach, I simply wrap the cord around a palm tree and  I can snorkel in peace. While it’s not completely foolproof, it’s another deterrent to stop people from running away with your bag.

Shacke Pak Travel Organizers

As mentioned earlier, packing cubes have changed my life. I now no longer have to wrestle with trying to squish everything at one go. I also know where everything is and have an easy time packing and unpacking even while on the go. If you’re planning a big trip, trust me, this will save you a lot of time and effort.

Sand Repellant Lightweight Beach Blanket

I love the beach and being that I normally plan my travels after exploring hidden beaches and islands, bringing a light weight beach blanket with me is essential. It’s light, keeps away the sand, and is easy enough to pack. It’s one of those things that you always keep in your daypack because you never know when you’ll need it for. #impromptupicnics

Belkin Multi Headphone Splitter

Traveling with friends or a partner? A headphone splitter will come to use. You can opt for the double splitter but I personally like this one, after all the more the merrier. These things come in handy when listening to music, watching movies during long bus rides or even just when you’re both listening to an audio guide or book.

iPhone Lens

The fact that this little thing can clip onto your iPhone, Samsung, or any Android device and improve your photos drastically is a win. If you’re too lazy to bust out your proper camera, having these lens clips really make a difference. Plus points as they are super affordable!

Sidekicks Foldable Ballet Flats

Lastly, foldable flats for the win…for the times that I do decide to change out of my flip-flops. They barely take any space and they are pretty lightweight.

While I could go on and on, the truth is, I like to keep things at the bare minimum. Travel light is a new motto I am trying to adhere about. What about you? What are some of your favorite travel accessories which you can’t live without?
