Cambodia is a country that is rich in both culture and history, a symbol of raw beauty and resilience. Cambodia’s past is truly horrific, but this is not apparent when you visit the country as everywhere you go, smiles are flashed and tourists are welcomed. Marvel at their many temples, including the legendary Angkor Watt. Visit laid back beaches and adventure through jungles in the North. Enjoy it while you can as Cambodia is slowly contending with its other tourist driven neighboring countries.
The Best Places to Stay in Cambodia
The accommodations in Cambodia is one of the cheapest in the entire Southeast Asia. You can get dorm beds for around $3 (cue in mic drop!) while double beds range from anything from $10-15. The places in the main cities of Siemp Reap and Phnom Penh are quite good, giving you a wide range of options. When you get to the coast, you will get high end hotels as well as very (very) basic places. When we last went, there were even hostels along the islands which were charging $3 a night….plus free beers in the evening. Pretty unreal huh?
Listed below are our personal recommendations on the best places to stay in Cambodia which will suite every type of travel budget. From hostels to hotels, check out our list of recommendations below.
