As I sat down on the deck outside my room, I gazed out to the endless hues of blues while enjoying my morning coffee. Despite the fact that we have been traveling the world non-stop, this was definitely one of the most beautiful and picturesque places to wake up to. The Beach Samui is located in the quiet Thong Krut beach, and is meters away from a stunning sandbar. Unlike most places in Koh Samui lined with resorts and bars, this was a peaceful idyllic getaway, providing us with a much-needed place to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. While the layout of the rooms varied, the entire place was immaculately designed and well thought of. Everything from the pool overlooking the ocean, to the fully equipped kitchenette in every room. Staying at the Beach Samui was pure luxury, providing guests with a home away from home while in Thailand, exclusive for the Private Residence Club of the Absolute World Group.
The luxury beach apartments on The Beach Samui are all equipped with top of the line linens, comfortable beds, and the softest pillows imaginable. Sleeping there was like sleeping on a bed of clouds and was nothing short of perfect. With everything in the room immaculately designed, everything from the large floor to ceiling windows which opened up giving you direct access to the beach and the ocean all the way to the tastefully decorated modern interiors. Some rooms even had bathtubs located on the balcony of each room, allowing you to blissfully soak in a warm tub while staring out into the ocean below you. Apart from bathtubs, the bathrooms also boasted of double shower heads and sinks.
However, what really sets this place apart from other hotels is the well thought of little touches that make it an ideal living space. From the fully equipped kitchenette which was complete with a selection of pots, pans, coffee and tea, all the way down to the large wine glasses in their cupboards and in-house entertainment system. With the entire space decorated in white and light shades of teal, this modern but lavish apartment was perfect for couples and even families.
Every day, the room was cleaning and toiletries were refreshed, allowing us to come home to a clean and fresh place after a full day of exploring the big and wonderful town of Koh Samui. While we could have easily spent our days exploring around the island, we also spent a good amount of time in the resort itself as quite frankly, it was just too good to leave. Every day, we opened the curtains of the floor to ceiling window and opened all the doors, allowing the light ocean breeze cool the room. Between lying on their deck perched on their comfy day beds or swimming in the small but decently sized pool, our time at The Beach Samui was highly enjoyable.

Apart from the stunning pool which is the perfect way to cool down on a hot day, The Beach Samui also offers spa treatments which you can have in one of their beach cabanas. While the beach front area is a little bit rocky, 5 minutes away from the resort is a little sandbar which comes out during low tide. Guests were given free use of kayaks which you can take out at any time. This area is perfect for those who want to bask in the sunshine while swimming along shallow pristine waters. As mentioned, some rooms also have a bathtub located by the balcony for guests to enjoy. Apart from this, an active gym and a resort restaurant are also currently being developed, providing guests with a complete range of amenities.
Unlike the other areas of Koh Samui, Thong Krut beach was very peaceful and serene. Dotted with small specialty restaurants which in our opinion were of fantastic quality, our stay here was made even better due to the local vibe and good quality restaurants within the area. In fact, we spent one too many days taking a cold beer and a glass of wine out to the beach for a lovely stroll during sunset as we watched the sun turn the sky into various shades of orange and pink.
The Service at The Beach Samui
Every day, we were pleasantly greeted by the staff at The Beach Samui who always went above and beyond to make sure our trip was enjoyable. From the staff giving local restaurant suggestions all the way to suggesting local activities for us to enjoy. Unfortunately, the restaurant was still being designed when we went to visit so we weren’t able to try any of their dishes. Headed by the team from Absolute World Group, the staff were all polite and helpful throughout our entire stay. Complimentary guest shuttles to and from the pier were also extended to guests.

Our time at The Beach Samui was highly enjoyable and provided us with a place where we could work, relax, and enjoy the stunning beaches of Thailand. Everything from the decoration of the apartments, the layout, to the great location, a stay at The Beach Samui comes highly recommended for those looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
