Although Tom and I love adventure, we also enjoy the good things in life. We actually don’t need much in life to be happy. Good food, a comfortable bed to sleep in, and good company. Fortunately, over the weekend, we were able to experience all that and more. With nothing more than a backpack in tow, we loaded our big bike and began to drive down the scenic roads heading to Pai. Our destination, the luxurious Puri Pai Villas.

Adventure Meets Luxury
As soon as you arrive in Puri Pai, you unintentionally let out a sigh of relief as everything about it screams relaxation. The entrance to the hotel along with the front desk was beautifully decorated. The staff by the front desk were all so pleasant as they happily escorted us to our room. After a fun but tedious three hours and a half swerving down the many corners and turns on the road up to Pai, we were relieved to hang up our biking jackets as we began settling into the room. So there we were, tired adventurers, ready for a couple of days of rest and relaxation.Â

The Rooms at Puri Pai Villas
We stayed in one of the Deluxe Rooms which had everything we wanted and more. A large plush bed, a well laid out bathroom with an awesome rain shower feature, and our favourite part, a balcony which had one of the most amazing views of Pai. We loved the fact that from the comfort of our own balcony, we could gaze at the mountains and the lush scenery in front of us. I admit to waking up early for the two days that we were there just so that I could spend a couple of hours painting and reading by our balcony.

The room was equipped with a mini bar which was replenished everyday along with free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The overhead rain shower was also a feature that we LOVED. Tom would have happily spent majority of his time in the shower if he could. The only comment that we have is that the wifi was quite poor in our room. Now for most people that just need wifi to browse and to check on social media, it was good enough. For digital nomads like us who try to work even when we are on holiday, good wifi is essential.
The room also came with a free breakfast buffet which had a little bit of everything. The buffet was not large or extensive, but it did have everything that you could possibly want. They had a selection of bread, yogurt, juices, fruit, ham and sausages, and a few Asian delicacies. The staff were all very friendly and professional, walking us through the selection and serving us with nothing but smiles throughout our two days dining there.
Apart from the Deluxe rooms, Puri Pai also offers stand alone villas along with villas with their own private pool. The villas were all beautifully spaced out along their huge resort complex. At no point did the resort feel crowded or full.
The Facilities of Puri Pai Villas
Apart from the stunning room, the facilities at Puri Pai Villas allowed us to fully fall into this weekend of pampering and relaxation. When we weren’t riding around Pai exploring, we also spent a good amount of time in the beautiful pool which overlooked the mountains. They had two sun beds that were submerged in the water, making it the perfect spot to read and enjoy a few cocktails.
They have a bar area called The Barn which in our opinion, has one of the most beautiful views in Pai. They had a large deck area right next to the pool, outfitted with all the amenities you need. During our time there, it would rain heavily for a few minutes, then as if someone pulled a curtain, the sun would carry on shining. The result? A rainbow for everyday that we were at Puri Pai Villlas.
After a day of relaxing by the pool, we decided to try out Puri Pai’s restaurant. Ironically, it was also the first time we had Western food since moving to Thailand. Our choice for the evening were burgers. After stuffing ourselves with burgers, truffle fries, and a ceasar salad, we were pleasantly surprised at the meal we had. The portions were large, the price wasn’t too steep, but more importantly, the food was good. To cap our meal off, we enjoyed a few mean long island ice teas as we listened to music as we looked out into the night sky.

Our Overall Experience at Puri Pai Villas
Overall, we couldn’t have had a better stay. The whole resort was very relaxed and laid back, giving us exactly what we needed for the weekend. Between the good food, the friendly smiles that we received from the staff, and the luxurious amenities, we would not hesitate to stay here again for our next visit to Pai. Sadly, we had to leave Puri Pai Villas after a fun and relaxing few days. As we left, we hopped on our bikes as we saddled on for our next adventure.

Wow that place is a perfect for relaxing getaway. I wouldn’t mind staying by the pool all day and enjoying the stunning views.
It really was perfect. We said exactly the same thing so we did end up staying there all day! It was great
We never made it to Pai on last tour through Thailand – but this looks like the perfect place to relax and a lovely bit of luxury! Good for you guys!
Definitely make time for it in your next trip Vikki- Pai is probably one of my personal favorites!
The villas looks wonderfully serene, very close to nature but still very comfortable. I could spend hours in the pool just taking in the view and the quiet!
I know!! It was really so peaceful and serene. Perfect getaway!
This hotel looks amazing. I could spend all day finding spots to curl-up and read my book.
The grounds are gorgeous. I would love to be relaxing by the pool right now. The food looked great as well.
Puri Pai sounds like the perfect place for some R&R! The burger looked so good and I’m happy to hear it tasted as good as it looked! When we were in Thailand I ordered a burger, but it did not look (or taste) anywhere near as delicious as yours! The pool villas sound lovely too!
Sweet looking spot! I could easily spend quality time by the pool, enjoying that view.
Sounds like a wonderful place to relax! I could stay in that pool overlooking the mountains ALL DAY! 😀
We could too!!! 🙂
Beautiful place! Really nice villas and with some stunning views from the rooms to the lush landscape.
I also feel that wifi is important but sometimes one needs a bit of relaxation and disconnecting is the best thing to do!
Cheers!
Yes I agree with you! We definitely like to unplug once in a while
Looks like an amazing destination. Those rooms look so luxurious and wow that pool! Will have to make note in case I ever make it to Pai. Thanks for sharing.
