written by local expert Rob and Eve

We all want to feel like a kid sometimes. Being stuck in an urban city may seem like a roadblock but there are always options for activities. Trampoline parks provide a fantastic form of fitness where you can jump off the walls, dive into foam pits and fly through the air. The trampoline scene is on the rise throughout Asia popular for adrenaline junkies, fitness freaks or even birthday parties. It is not surprising that even NASA  states trampoline jumping for only 10 minutes is the equivalent of 30 minutes of jogging. The newly discovered Amped Thailand in Bangkok provides an 800 square meter, air-conditioned facility with over 50 trampolines for your high-flying pleasure. amped thailand trampoline park bangkok

How High Can You Jump?

Amped Thailand is catered around family fun, but their facility welcomes any age. Take a leap of faith, do your best somersault, or dive yourself across a floor of interconnected trampolines. Trust us, its a lot of fun!

When we first arrived, we were greeted by Charlie and his team of well-trained and friendly staff. We were asked to sign a waiver before jumping, which acts as a disclaimer in case accidents happen. Eve loves to get carried away so we made sure she signed twice. To avoid slipping around, the venue will give you clean,  Amped Grip Socks for 80 baht a pair but they are yours to keep afterwards. A colored, bracelet is used to keep track of your jump duration and then it’s time to go!

When you first enter the park, you get a rush of nostalgia taking you back to childhood playdates and birthday parties. It didn’t take long to realize that jumping requires some form of technique and we needed to get the controlled rhythm to avoid hurting ourselves. The team will also show you around if you are new to trampolines. Once we mastered the flow, the joy comes next and we bounced around at our own leisure.

Travel Insurance

Coming from someone who has been traveling the world for the last 8 years AND has been in the hospital 2x, travel insurance is something everyone NEEDS to get. Get a quote below!

Is It…(gulp) Safe?

A trampoline park should offer a great selection of activities with specific offerings for different age levels. At Amped Thailand, there is a good mix of everything from instructed fitness classes to free jump sessions. There is a wide expanse of trampolines linked to other fun options such as: slides, a dodgeball area, rock climbing, basketball hoops and our personal favorite, foam pits. The best part is that the trampolines are linked meaning you never have to get off and can jump your way to any activity.

One thing is always the safety element. There is always a wonderful crew of people watching out. The little things definitely count and we appreciated the staff’s effort to go above and beyond their usual duties. A big TV screen displays all of the safety elements in multiple languages. There are many signs around as well to avoid hurting yourself. If you’re a parent, you’ll definitely be thankful to have someone attentively looking after your kids as they have fun. Although I do have to say, during our time in Amped, we might as well have been considered as kids as we were jumping from one trampoline to the next.

After the first 10 minutes, a comfortable fatigue kicks in along with sweat on the forehead. We never expected that jumping up and down would kick our cardio a**. A 60-minute session may not seem like enough but after 30 minutes we were ready to tap out. With our shirts soaked, legs shaking and large smiles on our faces, it was time to go. Each jumper will get a complimentary bottle of water after their jump to cool them down. Whether it is to provide exercise to the body, test your parkour skills or just have down-right fun, Amped Thailand was a great adventure that we will truly remember.

Visiting Amped Thailand was a great experience as for a fleeting moment, we were able to jump and defy gravity without a care in the world. Apart from being heaps of fun, Amped is also a great cardio workout and can be a good alternative for those looking for something fun and unusual to do.

Overall, we had a blast! The facilities were great and provided an unusual space to have fun. Although it isn’t part of the usual things to do in Bangkok list, we feel that it makes a great addition. So if you’re looking for something fun, active, and unusual to do, get jumping at Amped Thailand!
