Having traveled all over the Thai islands, we were looking for a bit of down time and wanted a relatively quiet place to stay. Luckily, the chance to stay in Alisea Pool Villas presented itself and soon, we found us away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang, Krabi and in the comforts of our private pool villa. If you’re traveling as a family, as a group of friends, or even as a couple like us, the newly opened pool villas by Alisea is the perfect place for you.

Alisea Pool Villas

We entered the hotel grounds, eager to see where we would be spending the next two nights. Nestled away in a large garden compound, we found 11 villas, 9 of which have their own individual pools. The staff warmly welcomed us and showed us to our bright and spacious villa, a place we could have happily stayed in for a week (or longer!). As soon as we entered, we saw that the villa had everything that we could ever want. A large living room, a modern kitchen, fully equipped with an espresso machine, refrigerator, and cooking facilities.

We stayed in a 3-bedroom villa which had a one large master bedroom, one bedroom with a double bed, and another with two single beds. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and was perfect for a couple of days of rest and relaxation. The master bathroom even had a large bathtub which I was eagerly looking forward to spending a couple of hours in. alisea-room

Privacy and Comfort

If you’ve ever been to Ao Nang, you will find it bursting with life. Everywhere you look there are restaurants, bars, and never ending shops. While this is convenient, if can quite frankly get a bit tiring. I guess this is why we enjoyed staying in Alisea Pool Villas so much because if we wanted to, we were only a 10-minute drive away from the main town but also had the option of being in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Transport to town was relatively cheap, with tuk-tuks readily available at 150 THB ($4).

The villas were sectioned off so although there were other units around you, you couldn’t really see through as each one was surrounded by a garden fence. We happily spent a few hours lazing around the poolside which was equipped with jacuzzi jets, two sun beds, and umbrellas. The entire villa had everything we needed, making it the perfect home away from home.

Alisea Pool Villas Service and Amenities

Throughout the whole complex, you can find free high-speed Wi-Fi, security, airport transfer, spa services, and room service. We decided to make the most out of their room service and decided to order dinner which was brought straight to our villa and was laid out perfectly on our dining room table. How’s that for service! Naturally, the private swimming pools top the list as one of the big perks of staying in Alisea.

The kitchen was also fully equipped with beer and bottles of wine, available for guests throughout their stay. Having stayed in various places all over Thailand, I have to make mention that the wine selection in Alisea Pool Villas was rather impressive with more than enough choices for those that love wine. While you have a fully equipped kitchen, for guests who want to start the day right, Alisea also serves a buffet breakfast with a selection of fruit, cereal, bread, an egg station, and a few hot dishes every morning until 10 AM. alisea-pool-villa

Andamana Beach Club

One benefit which you can receive when staying with Alisea Pool Villas, Ao Nang Cliff Beach Resort, or Alisea Boutique Hotel is that you have free shuttle services that will take you directly to Andaman Beach Club, an exclusive restaurant area with stunning beach front views. As soon as you enter the beach club, don’t be fooled by the native style facilities. The staff at the Andamana Beach Club couldn’t be more accommodating and lovely. The chef was a personable character, happily informing us about his house specialties. Although limited, their menu had all the Thai specialties which guests keep going back for. alisea-beach club

Set amidst native style tables right by the beach, we sat down, ordered a few cocktails and watched the sun go down. The Anadamana Beach Club was the perfect setting to get away from the busy beaches by Ao Nang. However, the real star of the show was the food. Take our advice and don’t miss out on ordering the chef’s Massaman chicken curry, chicken satay, and his Pad Thai. With good food, a quiet and secluded beach, plus a laid back vibe which you can enjoy the whole day, a trip to Andamana Beach Club is highly recommended during your stay in Alisea Pool Villas.

Overall Experience

If you’re looking for a secluded and private villa while in Krabi, we highly recommend checking out Alisea Pool Villas. The staff made you feel right at home and provided you with everything you needed during your stay. When we were there, we saw families, couples, and friends enjoy the privacy and exclusivity of this place. What we really liked about the entire stay was how private everything was. Everything from having your own pool, the large master bathtub, the individual private lawns where we spent a few hours every day lounging around. For us, it was the perfect balance to the popular tourist laden streets of Krabi.
