  1. My husband and I love Chiang Mai! We’ve been twice now and I’m sure we’ll be back there again. We always end up staying near the moat in whichever guest house our tuk tuk driver recommends (usually we look at a few), but next time we’ll have to check out one of these great options you mentioned! Baan Klang Wiang or Peaberry look right up our alley!

  2. Wow, some of these places are really amazing! Chiang Mai is impressive, you can find rooms from $5 a night to $500 or even more. A place for any budget. Great list, I’ll forward this to my dad who is coming to visit me soon in Chiang Mai 🙂 Thank you for putting this together.

  3. We’ve done a lot of the South and Islands of Thailand, so naturally the North is now on our list. We are planning on heading there next year and want to do a long term stay at one place. Do you know of any (cheap, but nice) long stay hotels or apartments to recommend? I know some people find places that are dirt cheap yet have pools, gyms, cleaning etc

  4. Great list of hotels to suit all budgets. We stayed in a place called the Top Garden Boutique Hotel – around the $$ range for a private room, close to the center and with lovely facilities (even though it had a small wetroom/bathroom) – I’d highly recommend it!
